It is an immense privilege and a profound honor to receive the 2024 Macondo Award for Best Original Score for the documentary film Raíces Azules, directed by Gabriel Domínguez and produced by Blue Lizzard Studios.
I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the Colombian Academy of Cinematic Arts and Sciences, its voters, and the general audience for this meaningful distinction. Receiving a recognition of this magnitude means a great deal to me, both personally and throughout my professional journey.
An award like this also carries a great responsibility toward the projects that still lie ahead. It is a confirmation that the work, discipline, and dedication devoted to the art of composing music for film truly have meaning and purpose. More than a final destination, this recognition becomes a source of motivation to continue creating with greater depth, sensitivity, and artistic commitment.
